15-Minute Starter Survival Guide
Booster Pack Heroes combines incremental pack openings with real-time tower defense. Follow this concise handbook to clear Chapter 1 on your first run without wiping.
Establish Your Frontline and Bank Gems
In Demo v0.33, pack prices no longer inflate with each purchase. Your primary objective in Waves 1โ4 is to open Basic Packs as soon as you have 100 Gold.
- Place Squire in defensive slot 1 to hold the choke point.
- When Barbarian drops (30% chance), place him immediately behind Squire for cleave attacks.
- Each Basic Pack grants 1 Gem. Do not spend Gems yet; bank them for Chapter 2.
Recruit Bowman and Unlock Trickshot Bounce
At Wave 5, the Basic Pack Box (270g) unlocks in the shop. Stop buying single 100g packs and buy the Box.
During Waves 6 and 7, flying bat swarms appear. Squires and Barbarians cannot attack flying targets! You must pull a Bowman (9% chance in Basic Pack) and spend your first Mastery points on Trickshot Trajectory (+1 Ricochet) in the upgrade menu.
Defeating the Chapter 1 Flying Boss
The Chapter 1 Boss attacks in two distinct phases: hovering projectile salvos followed by a heavy dive slam near your wall.
- Hold your Fireball spell until the flying boss lands for his slam attack.
- Trigger Fireball directly on his landing zone to clear accompanying adds simultaneously.
- Once defeated, you unlock Advanced Packs and Chapter 2 access.
Starter FAQ
Should I buy single 100g Basic Packs or save for the 270g Box?
Always save for the 270g Basic Pack Box once it unlocks at Wave 5. It saves 30 Gold and gives 3 Gems upfront.
When should I replace my Squire?
Squire should stay in your lineup through all of Chapter 1. Swap him out for Monk or Barbarian in Chapter 2 when enemy armor outscales physical basic hits.
How do I beat the airborne bat swarms in Wave 6?
Squires cannot hit flying units. You must recruit a Bowman and purchase the Trickshot Bounce mastery node before Wave 6.
